Course Overview
This course provides experienced Chinese learners with abundant opportunities to develop their overall language proficiency and cultural competency for unrehearsed communication. This course focuses on the broader application of the language and culture in real-world situations and explores a variety of topics in Chinese history, geography, music and arts, literature, daily life, and national and global issues. Students use teamwork, group online seminars, one-on-one conferences with the teacher, and a wide range of engaging activities and experiential projects to meet individual needs. This course is designed for students seeking an advanced alternative to AP® Chinese or a post-AP elective. By the end of this course, students gain a solid mastery of comprehending authentic resources and producing Chinese in real-life problem-solving.
