All Genders Course; Prerequisite - Recommendation from a school administrator at the student's permanent school; Full Year Course Credit
Want to take a deep dive into your favorite subject but need some teacher support? One Schoolhouse arranges for a facilitator for this year-long, student-designed independent study in a core or elective subject. The teacher and student work collaboratively to design a syllabus, establish pacing, and determine metrics by which progress is measured. The student produces a cumulative portfolio, which might include exemplars of content and skills mastery as well as a capstone independent research project.
